Another week, more teduim

Not a lot has happened since last week. Still job hunting, although I have had a few nibbles. And Yesterday I went to Ikea (I love that place) and got a quilt cover with green 'chalk' outlines of people on it. I've wanted it for ages, and I finally have it. I think it's cool. We also got some new rugs for the floor, but not the one I wanted for the hall. Although according to the display one it was out of stock... funny as you have to move the stock to find the sticker which says it's out of stock... Hmmm....

Anyway. That was fun, and they've changed the 10,15 or 20 Meatballs to small, medium or large... that's going to confuse some people. It did me.

I've also finally seen My Neighbour Totoro. Which was awesome. I can see the appeal of catbus now, But I will always prefer Howl's Moving Castle. And I have finally introduced Aaron to Monkey Magic. Even though the best episode (where he meets Pigsy and Sandy) was scratched and wouldn't play properly. And I have finally seen 10,000 BC. And despite the inaccuracies... was actually pretty good! But I like mindless movies.

Other than that, still very, very broke. Which is disheartening. But I will hopefully be able to get some cash coming in soon. I now know where I can find a copy of my lease. Fingers crossed.

Oh, and a nice man came and sprayed powder on the wall... The bee's did not come back. Yay for no bees, and as far as I know, they were not harmed. They just don't like the powder and stay away.

This adventure was brought to you by the Letter 'C'.

Life. It's the small annoyances that make it run.

I am currently broke, very broke. And as such I am looking for a job.

I hate job hunting. All that finding a job that you're suited to, tweaking the resume and writing the cover letter only to find out they want a 17 year old because they're cheaper.

Oh well. Persistence and you shall find what's right for you. Right?

In other news, I had a fabulous weekend. It was mine and Arron's 2nd year anniversary so we booked a hotel in the city and had a special weekend (or a dirty weekend as my dad calls it). We wandered in the city and did some shopping and then headed back to the hotel for foxtel and preping to head out to Clare's 25th (which happens to be on the same day) at Cafe Fellini's in O'Connell street North Adelaide.

The food was fabulous, and the company was good, as I knew most people there and hadn't seen many of them in a while. Best of all was the desert pizza! With melted chocolate and ice cream... So good! Worth going there again, if just for that! Also bumped into some old friends quite randomly whom I haven't seen in ages! That was a nice finish to the night.
Then back to the room for more discovery channel. I wish I could afford and justify getting foxtel. I love the documentary channels.

Earlier this week, Scout also came over for tea... Finally. I made calzone and cake, and bread (it's cheaper than buying bread pre made in loaves - believe it or not). And really enjoyed the day and night. Unfortunately The friend I'm trying to set him up with couldn't come. Oh well. I shall just have to wait another day to try my hand at matchmaking.

Other than that, that's the eventful happenings in my life in the moment. Too broke to really go into town and do things, but have done everything to do at home. No wonder the old stereotypical housewife drank sherry. it gave them something to do.

Oh, and I can't go outside. We have bee's. They're near the toilet (the toilets inside, the bee's are outside) and I hate it. I really can't stand bees, and I am afraid of them hurting my cats. Aaron says he'll look at them tonight, but I wish they would just go away. I guess it could be worse though. They could be swarming. Fingers crossed they don't think of that.

After many years absence due to tantrums, insecurities and various life drama's, I'm back in action and back on my first real blog. It's easier to get to and nicer to play with.

What's been happening? Not a whole deal. Well, in terms of over 3 years since the last post, a lot has happened. In a nut shell?

  • I moved out, then in with a looser, then out with a friend who is now my fiance.
  • I quit my job, spent 6 month unemployed, found a new job at BigPond. Quit that in April this year.
  • Went through a mental breakdown, was diagnosed with depression. Started taking medications for that. Weaned myself off the meds 2 years later. Now, while the odd day is still a struggle, I am much better, and able to deal with life a lot better.
  • Didn't complete my honours, now second year doing masters in archaeology!

Now, I'm happy, Getting healthy again (mentally and physically) and I have a job interview on Saturday! There are more details than the above mentioned, but that basically sums it all up, especially if you cross reference it with the other blogs I had in the space between.

Ciao ciao for now.
