Hoorah! I am officially an Adelaide Uni Student now.
I was in town today having coffee with Carl like I normally do on Thursdays and being the efficient person I am, I went and completed my enrollment at Adelaide while I was there.
I'd already done my enrolment online, but I still needed to get my student card updated and get the new diary (which I never use... Does anyone except the coupons??).
That in itself was an adventure as in the time I have been doing nothing at uni, they've changed where everything is! I had to ask where the student card centre was and was pointed to the Union building... Which I hardly ever go to except the unibar... But I don't like that place much, it's not nearly as comfortable as the Tav at flinders.
Anyway! After I found the place it turned out that I could get a new student card... YAY! Anyone who saw my old student card would understand why I'd want a new one but after all that I went through to make my hair look decent and not to smile too much... They stretched the photo width... AGAIN!!! At least I'll only have this card for a year, not three.
After that I went looking for the bookshop as I was in need of highlighters. Only to find that instead of a book shop, there was a cafe where the book shop used to be. After a moment on complete confusion I noticed a sign pointing the way I came telling me that the bookshop was that direction. I eventually found it in (surprise, surprise) the place where the big coffee lounge used to be. Weird, especially considering that the stationary section was in the area where unirecords (a CD store) used to be... Odd. Then I traumatised the sales assitant because every pen I'd chosen came through at a different price, or didn't know how much it cost.
After that I ventured to the library to gather some readings for my lecture in 2 weeks time, and after wrestling with actually finding the readings, then struggling to get the photocopier to work (it wasn't switched on properly) and then, 2 readings and over 50 pages of photocopying later... I managed to get out of that place in time for the after work rush.
I am now home and have just comforted a friend who is going into hospital tomorrow for a minor operation. So right now, I'm relaxing trying to psyc myself up for tomorrow where I have to go on a HOOGE cleaning spree. I have an inspection coming up on Monday :P
Oh, and Necromancy is on this Saturday. It has an Egyptian theme this time... Kind of odd for Necromancy, but should still be quite interesting.
