Right. It's Monday once again, and this week is set to be a busy one.
Tomorrow I have a group interview for the Coles/Myer company as I put my soul on the line and applied for a job there. So after an initial freak out about how I didn't have a resume AT ALL and I had no corporate-type clothing, I know have two professional looking shirts, and a much better idea about how to write a resume. Wish me luck for it!
Next is getting Big Day Out tickets. For the first time, it has sold out here in Adelaide and after deciding I wanted to go for once (system of a down AND slipknot are gonna be there - YAY!), I have to wait for Wednesday when some more are going on sale, but I'll have to get there early -I think. Not looking forward to that. But if we go, it should be great.
I'm STILL behind on my Latin, so I need to double time that just so I can get back on track as my enrollment is coming up for honours.
See what I mean? I know that I don't do nearly as much as my friends who seem to be able to fit 30 hours into a 24 hour day *COUGH*Tim*COUGH*. But it's a lot for me, who need to be almost analy organised with bus timetables and arrival/departure times to wherever I'm going. And you'd be surprised how much time that ends up taking...

As for last week, that was ok. A lot of time trying to get motivation to do Latin, and wrap my head around that (the further into it I get, the more intensive the course becomes). Then Saturday was just as crazy at it usually is. Carl and I met up with some of Carls friends at the Cranker and then re-met up at my place ready to head off to a gig we were invited to at The Holdfast (out Glenelg way). Never again. It was filled with bogan derro types who act slightly gay when drunk and will probably deny it till they're blue in the face the next day. Basically typical sports dickheads. Now, if you're that kind of person... Great! I just personally don't fit into that... scene. So we made a fast departure to the Cranker where the night became pretty cool. We met up with heaps of people and even though I bumped into Tain, it wasn't too bad. He was so drunk, and shocked to see me that he left quickly with few words. HOORAH! It ended up as a great night.

I'll let you know how the interview went, and if I got those tickets.

I hate being a female...
No, scratch that... I hate being female once a month.

That is all.

Hi all... I ordered the coolest stockings/tights thingies today... as i'm not sure how to put pictures on here, you can see them HERE.
Other than that I havn't been up to anything much. Hanging out with Carl and going to the Cranker...

Umm... I bought a new wallet too. An emily the strange one. I'm very happy with it even though it cost me about $50 =(

I'm slowly catching up on my latin... very slowly. I'm still a bit behind though.

As I said, i havn't been doing mutch lately.

The only way to describe my feeling right now, is mmnnnnghhh.

Yesterday was Shutzenfest! Enough said really, especially when I add onto that that it was also my friends 21st do, so we went out to town afterwards as well. I had a lot of fun actually as it was my first ever Shutzenfest. Yes, I was a shutzenfest virgin until a big group of my friends decided invited me to the event. Not bad for living in Adelaide for 3 years huh?
It was a lot of fun, and I was actually drinking cider... A drink that normally I hate, maybe it was because it was from a stein??? I also bought a new pair of sunglasses which is big thing, because the pair that I normally wear have been broken for the last... Oh, say 8 odd months.
After the 'fest' we headed to mansions, unfortunately missing the happy hour, but still managing to have a fairly good time. Then off to the London Tavern which is usually quite respectable. Then we got close enough to see the line up... Since when has there been a line up for that place??!!?! So we went to the casino instead. That wasn't too bad either, but I'm never a fan of that place as it is. I don't like the atmosphere.
After leaving there me and the beau parted from the group who were venturing to heaven and as I love that place so much on a Saturday nite *NOTE:SARCASM*, we went to the Cranker instead. Here, the rest of the night was spent and then home was arrived at 5am... Again (I managed this feat the Friday night/Saturday morning before, also after a well lubricated and enjoyable evening).
So today, I feel a bit... Off. Pale, plus cider, plus Malibu shots, plus CC and coke (Canadian club) will do that to you.

The previous week at Carls was also fun. His pool was cold and wet ( a good thing on a hot day) and his company is always enjoyed.

All the other photos from the shutzenfest can be found via Tim's site

Just did the random playlist thingy that Tim got from another persons blog... Not really sure what it's supposed to represent, but it was a bit of fun.

What you do (if there are ANY people who go to my blog and don't know tim) Is put whatever music player you have on ur computer (iTunes, Winamp etc) to random and take note of the first 10 songs that play.

Mine were:
1.What if God Was One of Us - Joan Osborne
2.People are People - a Perfect Circle
3.Disposable teens - Marilyn Manson
4. The Theme song from Angel (the show) -Darling Violetta
5.All along - The Offspring
6.Bound to Ramble - John Butler Trio
7.Am I going Crazy - Korn
8We will meet again - Vast
9.Witches song - Juliana Hatfield
10.Ataraxia (media intro) - Everclear (this one confused me, as this is just a talking thingy, so if it's not counted... the next song was...)
*bonus* Klavier - Rammstein

It bloody hot!
And not that normal hot that you can survive... It's sticky hot which makes you feel even worse because it makes you feel completely horrible and very unsociable... At least, that's what it feels like to me. Broken Hill heat is much drier, and so more tolerable. Hope everyone else is coping better.

I am taking a few moments away from my fella who has had time off since Christmas, and so we have been pretty much joined at the hip since then which has been a lot of fun... Although his parents might be a little worried seeing I've been at his place for about a week straight now. I'm home atm, but am going back tomorrow... He has a pool! (and I love him, and want to spend time with him of course, but that should go without saying... Right?)

other that that I haven't been doing much. My Latin has slowly ground to a halt what with the boy-friend distraction (I don't mind tho), and the book I was reading "the real middle earth" has also lost it's appeal. So much for 'doing something everyday'...
Oh, I haven't said this yet...

I got accepted into honours at Adelaide uni doing classical studies!! How stoked am I?

It means that I now have direction to next year which in turn means less stress for me. And one of the guys who was doing honours at Flinders uni last year told us that the easiest way to get through honours is to do a little something every day (that's relevant of course).
Speaking of uni, I got together with a few arch friends that I haven't seen for a while on Saturday for one of theirs house warming party... Which was also a toga party. It was a lot of fun actually with everyone bedecked in togas (even though a few were odd patterns (one was striped yellow and white... Suspiciously like a bed sheet if you ask me =))) and we all just hung out and caught up. Most of us weren't drinking as we all head to leave earlyish (the party started at 2) but it was still a lot of fun, and he house is really nice.

Other than that I haven't really been doing much. I adopted another neopet (a seriously addictive online game thingy), and watched some cool movies (ie: Blade: Trinity, EuroTrip.) then tomorrow I'm heading to Carl's for a lot of lounging, pool related fun, and general laziness. If anything exciting happens during that time....I'll let you know.

Hello, hello.
Yes, I know that I haven't been online much to report my progress in Broken Hill over Christmas and new years, but... Well. I was busy trying to waste time.
Broken Hill is one of the most boring places in the world, if you've lived there most of your life anyway =(
Christmas was ok, got a lot of crap that I really had no use for. But then, I really didn't expect anything else from my mother. But my dad gave me a cash injection that was very much appreciated (and actually on the list of things I asked for). Oh, and a few days after Christmas, I got my 21st present from my grandparents. For all those who play along, you'll notice that my 21st was in APRIL! The funny thing is that I'm still waiting for a 21st pressie from my mother =s.
Anyway!

After Christmas I wasted more time in the shop waiting for Carl to get in via the train. That was probably the highlight of my trip because that's the only good thing that happened. It was really nice to see him, and to break the monotony of working at the shop everyday. The next few days were a bit random as our time together usually is, and then we headed out to the Black (the Black Lion Inn - my watering hole of choice in BH). Met up with some old friends from high school, and ended up tagging along with them to the next pub (the West Darling) where I saw even more people that I knew from school! It was just crazy... And slightly drunken (it was 2 in the morning!).
Other than that... Nothing much to report. New years was quiet. We stayed up talking to my dad past midnight drinking socially while my mum dozed in the loungeroom. Crazy fun all around!!! No, it was actually pretty cool.
The next few days were then spent getting ready for our depature back to Adelaide which was supposed to be by train. Well, there was a freight train derailed on the line the day before and the Indian Pacific couldn't actually depart from Sydney, so they put a bus on... Ok, I've done the trip by bus plenty of times... Except they had to follow the train line, so we took about an hour extra circling AROUND Adelaide then coming in from the wrong way!! (by bus anyway) It was very odd.
Anyway. I hope you all had a nice Chrissy and new years. Thanks to those who replied to my sms's, and to Tim for actually putting a comment on here. It's nice to know that someone cares enough to see how I'm going.

Oh, and for all you people who can't get enough of my blogging (seriously, who wouldn't?!) My flatmate has signed up for ADSL... So you will now hear a lot more from me, maybe with a whole new look for the new year =)
