"Monday, Monday" *in a sing-song voice*
*SIGH* Mondays. They kinda suck don't they? My weekend is now officially over because I'm home now and I have that 'I'm lost' feeling that I usually get after a big nite out, but last nite wasn't a big one. I'll start from the beginning.

It was way too hot on Friday and I was completely stuffed. I did nothing but lounge around trying not to over heat, and due to the heat, I couldn't sleep that nite, so I was up till 6am with insomnia, but I got to watch some of the DVD's that I hired including Mad Max 2 (which was filmed outside of Broken Hill at Silverton), and Fire and Ice.

Saturday was also lazy, as Carl came over and we watched The Crow: Salvation, and generally bumbed around. When it got a bit cooler, we ventured to the bay for tea and were severely overwhelmed by the proliferation of people there. The problem was that most of them were under age drunk skanks, with their hero boyfriends in tow. So, we decided to escape to the Cranker, where we knew we'd be free of their baneful presence. Surprisingly, the Cranker was dead, but I guess that everyone was down at the bay. Stayed there for a while, and then headed back to Carls. Thanks to Adam again for the lift, but the suspension needs fixing. I bumped my head over a large bump... Even though there was probably about half a metre gap between my head and the roof =s!
Sunday was more interesting. Some of Carl's friends played a surprise visit and so we all hung out at the Marion Hotel with a few drinks and played some pool. We then moved to a place that was known as Sharkeys, a pool hall out Reynella way that burnt down a while back. They rebuilt it and re-named it (but I can't remember the new name) and it really wasn't bad. One of the nicer ones I've been in, but I guess that's because everything's so new. We stayed there for a while and then moved on to wok in a box for tea which was interesting... The service was crap, and bad service really bugs me! Anyway... By then it was late so we just headed back to carls where we did nothing and had an early nite.
I'm now home, as Carl has work today and so now I feel a bit bleh. I feel a bit lost because I have no real social life during the week, and I don't have the money to entertain myself. Although I have decided that I'm going to the movies on Wednesday to see 'Hero' or 'National Treasure' (I haven't decided yet) which I have wanted to see for ages, but I have no one to see them with, But I don't care. I'll see movies by myself, it's actually a little better, because you're friends don't chatter through the film!
Anyway, I'll let you know how I go. As I've said before: sorry my life isn't more interesting. But... Well, I have fun!

HAZAH! I have just handed in one assignment... Now I only have one more to go! YAY! Hopefully will finish it by monday/tuesday, then I shall be free! MWAH HA HA... not that that will affect my complete non-life at the moment. =(

Nothing else has really been happening, except starting to stress about christmas. I really have no idea what to get anyone this year (not that that's much different from any other year) but this year i especially cant be F***ed. Last year killed it for me when i realised that my mother doens't really care about my wants or need, but as long as she feels she's done something, then it's all good. Sorry mum, but i do actually NEED the things i ask for for X-mas, theyre not just whims... That and i'm still waiting for a 21st pressie =(.

Ok, we'll leave that negative strain of thought alone, and focus on other things. I have booked my tickets to Broken Hill, and officially leave on the 17th of December. I shall then be in Broken Hill for 16 days before I go completely mental, kill everyone and return on the 2nd of January (only joking about the killing spree... a bit). Have I mentioned how boring it is in Broken Hill? In a word: Extremely (number four is the relevant one). I'm not really looking forward to it, especially after my cat died earlier this year...

Anyway, I'll probably post before I go, and I'll definitly keep all you avid watchers up to date of my Broken Hill adventures (if I have any =s) and all that so stay tuned!

Hello all again...
Yes, this is my usual weekend post. But, it's going to be pretty boring... My life is really boring now even though it's the holidays! The problem is that since I have quit my job, I am now really, REALLY broke. I have no money to spend, and buying groceries is now a daunting task. I have no money to go out with either. So I have been spending a lot of time home on the couch trying to find ways of distracting myself from the assignments that are (still) slightly overdue (Shhhh, don't tell them that and they might forget).

On site was good... But pretty dull. There was a film crew come which sounds exciting... But after trying to do a job, and having a guy with a camera tell you to move to where you look better, but cant do anything. Or asking you to do the same action 4 times... It grates on ur nerves a little. Hello? Do you want to shut up and let me do my job properly?
I was lucky that I had to leave at lunch time (had to study for my exam that was on Thursday), because they hilled in the trenches. That would have been so sad to see all the work just covered over. I don't even want to think about it.
My exam was on Classical Mythology and was pretty standard, and so it wasn't hard. I knew most of the stuff in it. I won't bore you with the details, but after that I wandered around goodwood until 5 where I met up with some of the Arch people for one last drink before most of us parted ways for what may be the rest of our lives. Again... A little sad. It's scary the stage of life I've gotten to now. Everyone I've known for the last few years may now suddenly will leave my life and it's kinda creepy if you really think about it too much.
But anyway...

I went to the brickworks on Saturday with Carl and one of his friends. Kinda funny after saying that I had no money... But I didn't spend much. I got a CD for Carl, and 2 leather band/bracelets thingies for me. I'm happy with them. That night stayed home and just chilled out, because we were going to a party the next day.
That was also fun. Even though we were about 5 hours late (the party started about 12, and we woke up at 11:53). But it was fun, as it was dress up ( I went as a 70's chick, Carl went as a disgruntled wolfram and heart employee (with cool contacts!)). And we sat around and talked and had really random discussions while drinking a lot. It was very fun.
Again with the small world thing. I was talking to a girl, who was from mildura (as was my ex) and went to Flinders and knows many people that I do, including my flatmate!!!
After getting home at 4am, Monday was pretty written off, but I still handed in one of the assignments... Now 2 to go.
Wish my life could be more exciting for you guys, but... What can I say. I'm boring at the moment.

Hi all, here's my usual what-I-did-on-the-weekend-plus-anything-else-that-may-be-interesting update.

My week has been pretty slack which is not really that good considering the assignments and exams I have to do/study for. Have i mantioned thbat the assignments are overdue? Have i also mentioned that I have an exam on Thursday which I havn't studied for yet, but am going to be onsite at the repat all tomorrow? Can anyone say STRESS!!!!

Ok, now thats out of the way...
Saturday did not start out as it usually did, i.e: me meeting Carl in the city some time in the morning and us proceeding to randomly go crazy all that day. He volunteered (silly boy) to work on saturday. So my saturday was lazy (which as afore mentioned it shouldn't have been), culminating with having tea at Chris's parents house (roast... real food!!!), then heading back to ours with an assortment of Chris's friends so that they could have a scrabble night! which was actually entertaining to watch... and gang up on the guys hehe... HALO!
At 10pm I got a call from Carl saying he'd finished work (this was really exciting, because i had been anticipating this call all day, even though I knew he finished at 10) and to meet him in town, so I did. Then we headed to his, he got ready, then back to town. Actually, to the Cranker. That was actually not too bad, but because we only got there at around 12:30, we weren't there long before the place closed, forcing us to find somewhere else to wile away the hours.
I don't know where the suggestion came from, or why I agreed to it (I think it had something to do with being a little drunk) but we trooped off to the Crazy Horse (I don't have to link that one... Do I???). Suprisingly no one was at the door... but we did get carded once up the stairs. Can I say, eye-opener. The girls are so comfortable, just strolling around nekked!?! And in my drunken state commented on how I could do all the things they were doing on stage to whch Carl replied a gentle but firm NO... I was just sayin, that's all! =) Also met one of his ex's (quite nice girl - I rattled on about archaeology to her... and she listened! She was also nice in general). She joined us and when the placed closed, we all headed to some sports bar till that closed, and so we went out side. Seeing the sun was up, we decided to head home (being carls). Thanks Adam for giving us a lift.
Oh, thats when the sausage and egg McMuffin fiasco happened... same as tims experience, except Carl went back and scared the shit out of all of the staff by saying he was allergic to egg (he isn't really)... but it was funny.
The next day wasn't so good... Woke up with a hangover (that'll teach me for mixing my drinks) and Carl was a darling for looking after me. V. lazy then headed to Mamma Carmellas at the bay for our usual sunday supper.

Thanks to Tim and Ve for helping me see I'm loved.
And a general Have a good break and holidays to all as I probably won't really see any of you all till next year.

My holiday plans are standard... Head to the Hill, see folks, get bored and nothing that I really wanted for christmas, come back here then be stressed about next year. But for the rest of you... HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Hello all. just a quick post to distract me from the mountain of overdue assignments I have.

Nothing much been happening, as the week has been fairly dead. The most exciting thing has been watching 3 people play halo 2 (which I have to admit quite cool, I can see why so many people waited so long). Oh, and adopting a neopet...

I know I shouldn't have. It's jumping on the international mainstream bandwagon... but it was 1 am in the morning, and he looked so cute! Anyway...
Thats pretty much it in my broing so-so life.

People... If you visit my site, please let me know!!! Hey Tim... Can I get a hit counter in here or something. I'm feeling neglected :(

Monday, November 08, 2004

Ok... Upon reading Tim's blog have this nagging feeling of guilt that I don't update as often as I should... But for those who have wondered (and complained on other people's blogs... Yeah, you know who you are) It is because my computer is currently, and has been for some time, shitting itself. Therefore the internet connection is crappy and has to be held in place by uh-tack... I'm not kidding. I am a true povo uni student. This means that the only time I can really use the internet is when it's free... i.e: at uni. And I am at uni with free time probably about once or twice a week if I'm lucky. That is why my posts are so few and far between.

Right now we've cleared that up...

Zone 3 was so much fun and necromancy ROCKED!
Zone 3 was spent running around shooting your friends with lazers for 3 games straight. The funnest part was ganging up with another team to kick blue teams ass... The one with my flat mate on it who was being superior... We had to do something about that. I had a nasty come down from the adrenalin rush, but other than that it was truly excellent. Hat's off to Troy! Thank you for a trippy nite!

From then on me and Carl split from the group who were heading to a Halloween party to stop off at Carls so he could change.. Go all out and get 'gothed up'. Boy did he look good too. I'll get a photo one day...
Anyway... We got a lift into town with one of his mates and hit necromancy at about 11:30. It wasn't too bad. Some of the outfits were awesome, and I saw some people I knew! That was kinda weird. Met a few more of Carls friends, and got to see all the ones I already knew, we all had a lot of fun! Oh and the band ROCKED!!! Ikon are kind of like an English version of Ramstein for the electrionica element, but have a hefty wallop of 80's rock in there... Think Billy Idol. V. Cool.
After the band, they had movies playing on a big screen and a dj playing... Through chatting, and drinking Kirin (a not too shabby Japanese beer), time raced by. Before I knew it they were Turing on the lights and slowly rounding us towards the door. We left grumbling down the stairs at the Enigma then stepped outside blinking... It was morning! Light- when did that happen?? Upon checking the time, and rounding for daylight savings... It was 6am! oopps! That explained the sunlight. Goes to show you that time flys when your having fun.

All in all a very good night had by lots of people. Heard later that the party was pretty good, but mostly those reports have come from people that had been dropping acid... There you go.

The following week was pretty standard. Uni, work, etc... And got to see the fella a lot.
Thursday nite I spent drunk at a friends - yay archaeology students and pints for schooners at the tav.
Friday nite - my last shift at work!!!! YAY! Now all I need is another job. If anyone can help me there, would be much appreciated!
Saturday - a 'quiet' nite in watching videos that was hijacked by my flat mate when me and Carl didn't get to mine till 9 (we were at the cranker playing pool). So it was a little hectic. Numbers dwindled, then by 2am it was just 3 of us (4 if you include Chris, who had fallen asleep on the couch an hour ago). So a nice quite nite.. But somehow, I still have no money left.

And that leads me to here. I have 3 more assignments to do and one exam, and on the 18th of November... I AM FINISHED! That's it. My 3 year degree is over and done. Time to shit myself... I just hope I get into honours.

So if my posts dwindle even more now, I apologies. I will try my hardest to keep up to date. Till then catch you all later!!! And have a good break!
