Sad, or completely cool?

For many ongoing mornings when I have to get up early to head off to uni, I let my brain wake up slowly to the soothing cartoons on Cheez TV. Mostly Yu-Gi-Oh! and it is quite addictive. On those mornings, my flatmate is also up early and has now taken to watching the show as well. This is background.

yesterday night, my flat mate comes home saying he's got a present for me. A 'YAY' should have ensued yet the trepidation in his voice stopped me... What had he got me?

Turns out it was a Yu-Gi-Oh! Trading card game starting deck, and he bought himself a Kaiba starting deck (another charater from the cartoon). This was pretty weird, but seeing we both watch the show, we both know how to play, and so spent the next 3 hours playing. It was actually a lot of fun, especially when I finally beat him!!! But now he's gonna cheat and look up rare cards on E-bay.

So many will now answer sad... But I'm gonna go for cool.
I told you guys I was a geek, but would you believe me...

Hi!
Just a quick one to let all my faithful viewers (very few of you though there are =( ) that I am still alive. Nothing really been happening lately.
Last weekend, Jenn's 22'nd drinks at the pub. Pretty quiet except for the drinking of much alcohol, got to see some people haven't seen for a while, got my ass pinched by the same guy that pinches my B/F's ass (long story and much hilarity involved). and we got home at the same time as my flatmate did... In separate taxi's.

Next weekend is Halloween, and so should be fun. Zone 3ing for a friends 21st, then either 24hour party, or Necromancy... We'll see.

As for the post I lost... All about me getting my lip pierced ages ago but I forgot to post iut in all the perusing excitement of weekends, and assignments. Will put photo's up eventually... if Tim will help me *hint hint* =)

that's all for now, will catch u all up after Halloween... Have fun all, and don't let the creatures of the night get you.

Whoever thought archaeology could be so cool?!...
ME!

The NASC was extremely cool. 2 and a half days of intense archaeology may sound incredibly geeky... And in fact, it is. But it was a great few days. Papers on all topic's of archaeology from most of the main disciplines within it were presented over 2 days, and most we3re really interesting... Except the new age kiss ass presentation on ethno-archaeology, but to each their own (damn hippie wannabes!) *ahem*. And people presenting ranged from all over Australia, and we even had a presenter from India. Even Professor John Mulvaney came and presented... He's only the founding father of Australian indigenous archaeology!
Needless to say much fun and interesting time was had by all, with a few new friends made along the way.
Oh, and a big thanks to Curtis for opening his place to a kick ass party on the final Thursday.

The rest of my long weekend was exceptionally fun as well. For me, it started Friday, as I had no uni or anything else on that day, and as Carl had taken that day off, we decided to go into town to hang out and shop. We ended up going to the museum instead which is always fun, and he hadn't been for years so I showed him around and had heaps of fun. After Chinese for tea, we headed off to the cranker where a rather big night was had. I met, and danced with, the lead singer of chalice. She is very cool, plus met many of the bar staff.
Saturday was a quiet one having to work, but Carl came ova again after and we watched Rocky horror picture show... It was fun... nuff said really.
Sunday was also cool, me and Carl ambled to jetty road where we feasted on good food, and played 'pick the shortest skirt' in the fine weather. We decided to hit the cranker again, as I was going to meet 2 of his good friends one of which is a really good pool player... I was 1 ball off kicking his butt too =(. They left, we stayed and to avoid big geeky x-box day that Chris was organising, I crashed at carl's... Falling asleep watching his new Rob Zombie DVD. He put me to bed, then stayed up playing legacy of kain. (yay?)
Monday was the most adventurous though... After a lazy morning we headed to the reserve not too far from Flinders, also near carls house. It was quite fun watching him lift rocks and run around after lizards... untill he lifted a rock and there wasn't a lizard under it, but a brown snake that decided to head straight for me. Bad me bolted which was probably not the best idea, but he would have smelt the fear on me anyway. Once far enough away I tried to slow down, but momentum wouldn't let me and I went ass up, got a cool scratch on my hand too. But needless to say, that was the end of adventuring in the reserve. Back to the cranker for nerve soothers ( and fantastic Ninjas - ta Tully), then a reasonably early nite home.

That was my week, and my long weekend.
Oh, and for all those avidly playing at home, it's official. I have a boyfriend!!!
till next time!
