Boo!
Yes I am alive, if barely at the moment. I have a wonderful cold that is making my lungs itch and the rest of me feeling wretched.
House boat was a riot... As I'm sure you've all heard from Tim (and seen the many photos). But I was not really there for most of it because... DA DA DAAAAH, I was also sick then and spent a lot of time sleeping. Not as bad as Hunjet tho hehe.
Broken hill was... Interesting. A lot of dust, a lot of open space, a lot of 'no, your other left' as I tried to direct 2 of my friends around my old haunts. Was pretty cool tho. Went to Silverton and passed the test, also saw a replica of the Mad Max car. Had my favourite fish and chips, complete with battered marsbar (it's divine!!! If you're ever in Broken Hill, go to the Anex fish shop on Argent street and pick yourself up one). We went ontop of the skimpdump (yes, it is a technical term... it's the big grey thing in the background), the most prominent feature of the town, from which you can see the entirety of the town from the top.
Upon getting back into Adelaide, it has been go, go, go. Second semester has started again, and I have 10 assignments to do in 14 weeks, not including background readings for all the prac work I'm going to be doing this semester. Yep, that's right... I'M GONNA BE ON AN ACTUAL DIG! It's at the Repatriation hospital and I can't wait. There is heaps of research to do, as well as excavation work. We're excavating the old bomb shelter of the place, and there is rumored that there may be a surgery in there somewhere left ready for use, which means any instruments will have it's wax coating still on it (to stop rust between ops) which means they will be perfectly preserved!!! Only a rumor tho...
**For all those people who know I'm not a very computery person... I'm not, but I never said I'm not a geek**
So in a nut shell that is my life updated. Stay tuned, cause when I can be bothered, I will find pretty pictures to go with this post.
