T- 0!!!!! IT"S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

And to be quite honest it's been not the bested most wonderfulest day ever. This is how it went:
I haven't been able to sleep in lately, and I haven't been to bed before 1am in about a week and a half, so this morning, I had nothing on... I thought I'd sleep in, especially nice because it was my birthday... NOT! 8:30, my mum calls me to wish me a happy birthday. Nice, as I had to get out of my nice warm bed to go over the cold kitchen lino to answer the phone. After she realised she'd woken me up, she got off the phone to let me get back to sleep. Good idea in thory, and would have worked in practice... If my grandparent didn't call me half an hour later. Finally got off the phone to them and started to dose off again, to be woken up around quarter to 10 by my door bell. The flower basket that my mum had sent me "so I could get something special from everyone at home on my actual birthday" had come. Not only did I have to get up for that, but I had to put some pants and a jumper on too. The basket was taller than me with the 4 helium balloons that were attached to the handle, and it had a bright pink teddy bear in it!! It's strange that my own flesh really has no idea about me. Don't get me wrong, it was a beautiful basket and I really did appreciate the gesture, but pink is not me. After that I thought "fuck it!" so I stayed up... looking back on it I was lucky to get the sleep I did considering the whole time there was road work going on outside my flat.

Got ready leisurely, and got to uni at around 12... then I started drinking... was only going to have a few as I had work that evening. 4 and a half plus a few games of pool later, it's quarter past 4 and I'm quite tiddley. By the way, work started at 5. Luckily Nathan gave me a lift. THANKS MAN!!! I really appreciated that. It was pretty good at uni actually. I got to see a few people that I hadn't seen for ages, and chilled with them and I didn't see Jacko! BONUS! But this just proves how good I was feeling... I talked to Stacy. OMG! It was all pool related tho so that's not too bad I suppose.

Work: that was fun! (said sarcastic) I was still tipsy when I started serving, but it wasn't too bad. It was only a bit of blury motor control... So not really noticeable... till I started to feel ill. Yep, the alcohol was leaving my system. I didn't throw up... which was good, considering how much I wanted to. But a few cups of water later... I was beginning to feel not bad. But right now, I still feel slightly low in body funcltionality. That's why I'm having some chicken noodle soup!!!! That stuff so rocks!

Now I'm home and chillin in a gentle way. Thanks Edward, David, Sam, Kat, Trav, Pitch and Clare for their birthday sms's. And thank u David, Simon and Chris for the drinks. Thank u nathwan 4 the beautiful keyring, and the lifesaving lift. Thanks everyone else who said happy birthday to me at uni. Thanks everyone at work for the funky birthday chocco Bavarian cheesecake (Casey wrote happy 21st on it in mini MnMs) and their birthday wishes, and thanks Sam too 4 the card.

Speaking of cards... I ot a bit freaked out when I checked my mail... I had a 21st birthday card from my local MP!!!! It's really quite unnerving! Like I have a stalker or something.

All in all, as I look back on it, it hasn't been a bad day... or maybe the warm fuzzy fixingness that chicken soup brings is kicking in. Either way... I have a smile playing on my lips... I can feel it there.
How does being 21 feel? Not that different. It's really just another day when it comes to physical feeling. But it was nice to have a lot of people focusing on me, and wishing me well. That's what feels great about ur birthday I guess. The feeling of warm fuzzy that all people crave deep down that comes from being the centre of attention. I did have fun today. I did have a nice day. I did feel special. I think I'm finally beinging to be happy with myself and my life. Which is nice of it to happen on such a milestone.

Now all that's left is the count down to my party!!!
